Social Publisher Tutorial

The below tutorial will show you how to use our Social Publisher plugin for your SocialEngine website.

• How to publish an item to Facebook/Twitter/Linkedin
• How to manage Social Publisher settings on Front End
• How to manage Social Publisher settings in Back End

Let’s get it started.

 1.   How to publish an item to Facebook/Twitter/Linkedin

Here is the demonstration to share a photo with Social Publisher enabled.

Note: Similar flow for default plugins of SocialEngine and ours (*).

a. Step 1: Share a photo on Social (Figure 1)

b. Connect to social accounts when the popup shows (Figure 2)

2.   How to manage Social Publisher settings in Frond-End

Your members can change default setting when publishing an item with Setting> Manage Social Settings> Social Publisher. (Figure 4)

Auto publish: automatically published this item to other social networks

Don’t publish: the popup will not show and there is nothing publish to other social networks.

Ask me everytime: Always show the popup when you share an item.

 3.    How to manage Social Publisher settings in Back End

You can enable/disable Social Publisher plugin for supported plugins and social providers that you want your members to use at Admin> Plugins> Social Publisher. (Figure 5)

– Default: Status, Blog, Event, Album, Music, Video, Group, Forum

– Younet plugins: Contest, Fund Raising, Auction, GroupBuy, Store, Wiki, File Sharing, Mp3 Music Album.
